Hey all!
Just popping in to wish you a Happy Halloween…
As is my tradition (um, starting today), I’m going with the something cute
and something scary Halloween greeting
Although I imagine seeing my post in your inbox probably startled you.
But had to be done, because I miss you guys!
Anyway here’s something cute
Pencil, ink, gouache, digital color, and English breakfast tea (for me, not the art)
Okay
now brace yourself
next up, something super chilling
a practical crime scene on my sliding glass door this month
Nikon camera, 18-55 mm lens, and a rapid, and possibly a bit skippy, heartbeat
Yeah.
The circle of life
(wrapped around a fly).
I can’t sugar coat that for you
unless you show up at my door tonight in costume
(but only tonight)
So just in case here’s something to distract and soothe you
Hopefully I’ve calmed you enough to share in the comments your favorite Halloween costume.
Here’s a witchy throwback (way back) of a costumed me.
Happy Monday!
Cute and aargh and cute again! Miss you

Happy Halloween. It’s been a while since I dressed up…. but it was a cowboy with boots and hat. As for my favorite costume it would be my daughter’s tiger costume from years back. She wore it to every Tiger football game (our high school’s mascot) until the end of the season – the state championship game. She was CONVINCED the team won because of her outfit! Happy Halloween.

Mostly cute pics! (and one that’s ewwwww! But yep, that’s life).
My fave costume was probably Scooby Doo. Brown shirt and pants with spots and tail pinned on, and a brown ball cap with eyes and ears. Easy! And who doesn’t love Scooby, especially on Halloween? Hope yours is fun!

Darn Gravitar picked up the wrong email! Good thing it’s not a secret pen name. 🙂

I’m definitely a fan of Scooby. Loved watching that cartoon as a kid. I think one of my sisters might’ve had a scooby lunch box.
I guess Gravatar wanted you “incognito” just for Halloween.;)

Cute – all of it – cute, cute, cute. Wait – not the spider. That’s not so cute. Awesome job on the photography though.
Happy Halloween!!

Thanks, Patricia!! Poor spiders, they rarely if ever get described as cute. 😉

Hope it was a spooky one! Coleen hey that spider should have been rewarded keeping the flies away for you. Great capture and I would have freaked seeing him but am trying to just put them back out in nature. Love the beautiful soothing sketches too.

The flies and lots of other bugs! This spider stuck around for more than a week–kind of got used to checking on it every morning. Then one day, gone. I found myself thinking a lot about Charlotte that week. 🙂 Thanks, Kath!

I love your artwork so much, Coleen! I’m sorry I couldn’t truly appreciate the photography. I had to scroll past that spider as quickly as possible. 😉
